She was born in 1952, entered the work force in 1970, joined the CPC in 1974, and graduated from University of International Business and Economics in 1998 with a Master Degree. she was Mayor of Jiangmen City of Guangdong Province from 2001 to 2003. Since 2003, she is Vice-Governor of Guangdong Province.
